Decisions

There's a point in everyone's life where they have to make more than one hard decision. Whether it's what to have for lunch or what they want to do with the rest of their life. I'm currently at that point in my life. I seem to have this who plan figured out, but then something always comes along to make me think twice about it. Is it really what I want to do? Will I be happy for the rest of my life doing it? Then you have to factor in the things that "just happen" in life. I meet the "man of my dreams" the prince charming that is going to save me from everything, fall in love get married, have kids, live happily ever after. Yeah, right. Considering 50% of marriages don't last anymore, what's the point of even getting married?! Who knows. Women are the cause of divorce, and I'm not afraid to admit that. Women try to keep up with this whole image of what it was in the 40's when they stayed home, cooked, cleaned and catered to their husband hand and foot. But they still want to be independent and be able to work and be self-sufficient and when that's challenged, they don't like it. I'm sorry, but double standard much? They feel they need to impress the guy and they think that they can be everything and when it comes down to it, years later, they realize that it was all a front, somewhere along the line the woman goes nuts and BOOM divorce. Or the guy just gets sick of it and cheats. Women are so desperate it's almost pathetic. And I'm NOT saying all women. Many marriages still do last, but it's just what is instilled in our heads, we're looked at as sex objects and how can we be upset at that when we're the ones who gave ourselves that image? The media portrays women in a sense that they have to be skinny and flawless in order to be accepted or get the man of their dreams. So what else are guys supposed to think or feel about us? Society really needs a reality check. BIG TIME.

well..

This is my first blog - so let's see how this goes.

I wonder sometimes what the thought process is like in other people's minds. How they come to the conclusion of their opinion or a problem. And why they think that if someone else doesn't agree with them, the other person is automatically wrong. For example, I was sitting in biology class today really not paying attention, but that's besides the point. Anyway, the professor is explaining to us the Bioethical Flowchart. She uses cigarette smoking as an example. I'm not going to sit here and explain what the flowchart actually is, but it brought up a debate. Someone had suggested that they should deny cigarette smokers health insurance because they are only killing themselves so why should the government pay for them to go to the doctor. Now I'm a smoker, but that's not why I decided to get into the debate, basically she started this entire argument because she is against smoking, so she feels everyone else should be also. That's fine if you have an opinion, but keep your beliefs to yourself and don't try to force them onto other people. It's annoying. Anyway, we then had to do our own presentation using this flowchart thing and her topic was overpopulation and saying that the government should only allow families to have children based on how much money they make. That caused even more of a debate to the point of her screaming at me from across the lecture hall. I'm sorry, if you're ignorant to the real world and to what actually goes on, please keep your mouth shut because no one now wants to hear what you have to say.

Anyway, my school absolutely sucks. People can be so ignorant, especially here. I don't know what it is about this campus, but the people are just not cool. At all. And the staff is completely incompetent and I'm pretty sure that I could teach half of these classes better than the professors here.. just saying.

I realize that I can be extremely arrogant at some times, it's my sarcasm. Don't take anything to offense. I really don't care what people think about my beliefs or opinions. I'm glad to hear your side of the story if it actually makes sense and is an intelligent argument, if not, please don't waste my time.

This day could not possibly go by any slower. I count the minutes until I am out of this hellhole and can go home, which at this point is even more of a hellhole, but it's one I can seclude myself in. So that's all I have to say for now - but I'll leave you off with a little something ..
